This next-generation system is table-driven to permit easy modification for any terminal, and letsnonprogrammers modify and add screens and reports.MTCS's container control system is realtime interactive. It providesimmediate response to inquiries with current information, online reports,and displays. Within cost-benefit guidelines, it makes maximum use ofstate-of-the-art hardware and software. It runs under the UNIX operatingsystem. The system uses a high-level database management system withbuilt-in security, transaction logging, and online recovery. It supportsthe following functions:
